The FLEX I/O Remote I/O Adapter includes a built-in power supply that converts 24VDC to 5VDC to power connected modules efficiently.

With diagnostic indicators (green for active status and red for fault conditions), a reset button, and a processor restart lockout switch, this Allen-Bradley input/output device ensures intuitive operation and robust fault handling. The address/group switch assemblies and communication mode selectors—accessed via a flip-up door—offer easy customization for I/O rack numbers, communication speed, rack fault behavior, and hold-last-state functionality.

This unit supports five address modes: Standard, Compact, Complementary, Standard-32, and Complementary-32—allowing tailored functionality based on application requirements.
